I ordered a cake from Alison for my sister's 50th birthday and it went down so well, I decided to order a similar cake for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. We followed Alison's excellent advise concerning the colour scheme and cake selection - one tier chocolate, one tier jam sponge (both yummy!), ivory icing with beautiful lilac details. It was just perfect - it made my mother-in-law feel extra special that someone had gone to all that effort for her, on her birthday! |
